Jubilee is a
series of photographs which records the events celebrating the Queen’s
Platinum Jubilee in June 2022 around the Maidenhead area. The photographs are grouped according to
date:
June 2 Burnham Park evening celebration
event.
June 3 Jubilee event, Higginson Park,
Marlow.
June 4 Jubilee picnic, Windsor Great
Park.
June 4 Street party, Eton High Street.
June 5 Street party, Cookham High
Street.
There are a few photographs taken in other areas and the locations are
labelled.
For each of the events, the photographs are ordered buildings, inanimate
objects, animals and pets, food, groups, couples (two people) before finally
concentrating on individuals. It is
remarkable how may people brought costumes, hats,
flags, masks and other celebratory objects.
All the photographs were taken with digital cameras and printed using pigment
inks to ensure image permanence.
