The inspiration for the project ‘The Wind Dummy LP’ came from a tour by the photographer to the USA in 2017. Places visited included Memphis, birthplace of ‘rock and roll’ and Nashville, home of country music. The vinyl LP record is the cornerstone of these types of music. Series of photographs interpreting popular songs, as shown in the vinyl LP labels below, make up this project. During the tour, a balloon ride was made in Albuquerque, the world’s leading centre for ballooning. The term ‘wind dummy’ refers to the first balloon up in the air in the morning so that others can judge the wind speed and direction.
